Did you know that Cutting Edge Butchers is the only butcher in Ellenbrook?

The Ellenbrook community is full of life, nature, and character. But, for a while, there was something missing — until David and Melinda came along!

It was always their dream to start a butcher, and 10 years ago, that dream became a reality at Ellenbrook Central. Cutting Edge Butchers was born, and quickly became popular amongst locals — and not just because it was the only butcher in Ellenbrook! The team have always prided themselves on their products and service, and have developed strong relationships with customers.

“We have a lot of customers that have been very supportive over the last 10 years! We have been given gifts, but the support has meant the most. We have been given the opportunity to pay it forward and seeing the faces and tears when you have made someone’s day is priceless,” they said.

In 2019, Ellenbrook Central expanded and Cutting Edge Butchers had to relocate to another spot in the Centre. But it gave David and Melinda the chance to create what is now their dream shop. When they reopened, customers flooded back, and both the usual and the strange orders resumed!

“We’re most known for our burger packs. People drive from all over the metro area to buy them! But we also get customers buying ribeye steaks for their dog’s birthday and for Christmas.”

Cutting Edge Butchers have an amazing range of high-quality, Australian meats. They can cut meat to customers’ specific requirements and customise any of their products. But with such a delicious selection, if David and Melinda could only eat one product for the rest of their life, what would they choose?

“Bass Strait scotch fillet. Bass Straight Beef is located in Tasmania at 39 degrees — the world’s best latitude for grass-fed beef. We love the flavour and how tender the steaks are. You have to try it!”

When they’re not busy serving up delicious cuts of meat or making customers smile, you can find David and Melinda visiting fellow retailer, Candy Alley, to satisfy their sweet tooth. Outside of the Centre, they love camping and are even featured on WA Camping Adventure’s official YouTube channel!
